VINTAGE-INSPIRED SIGNAL CONTROL
Analog Preamp with a Real VU Meter
Add gain, shape your signal, and watch the level move in real time. A compact analog-style front end built around a tactile control layout and an illuminated VU meter.
Built for guitar, bass, microphones and desktop audio setups
THE IDEA
More than a gain box.
The illuminated meter gives your signal a physical point of reference while the front-panel controls keep gain and output within easy reach. The result is a piece of gear that looks at home beside an amp, pedalboard, interface or studio desk.
01 / VU
Visual Level Monitoring
Watch the illuminated needle respond as your signal changes instead of relying only on your ears.
02 / GAIN
Input Gain Control
Dial in the amount of front-end drive and level you want from the source signal.
03 / LEVEL
Output Level
Set the final output independently for a more controlled connection to the next stage.
04 / SHAPE
Low & High Cut
Use the tone-shaping switches to help tailor the signal before it reaches the next device.
THE VU MOMENT
See the signal move.
The warm illuminated meter is not just decoration. It creates a quick visual reference for signal activity and brings classic studio character to a compact pedal-style format.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
What does the VU meter show?
It provides a visual indication of signal activity. The exact calibration and operating range depend on the final hardware design.
What do the two main knobs control?
The front panel shown in the video is labeled Input Gain and Output Level, allowing separate control of the incoming gain stage and final output level.
Can I use it with a microphone?
Only where the source, impedance, level and connection requirements match the actual product specification. Do not assume it provides microphone preamp power or phantom power unless your model explicitly supports it.
Is the VU needle animated?
The product itself uses a physical meter. The web-page graphic above is only a visual demonstration; the actual hardware meter responds to the audio signal.
